The Brae Hotel

Thank you for a very pleasant stay for my business trip. The food is local and tasty. The room is neat, warm comes with 2 Twin beds, a decent-sized high quality TV, as for instance. The employees are caring and incredibly helpful.

It was clean with caring and helpful staff in all areas. The location was fantastic and stunning, just next door to the bay and hills, the scene and the Yell ferry.

Request a room with a sea view if possible. the sunrise is breathtaking and adds extra charm to your stay.

Comfortable double room with tidy, clean interiors. The unique UpHellyaa shield display in the reception area adds a cozy touch.

The restaurant menu feels a bit too fancy for a laid-back dining experience, and the bar menu is quite limited. The noise from nearby pub drinkers might not be ideal for those looking to unwind while eating. Bathroom doors in multiple rooms didn't close properly, with one needing a towel to keep it secure during shower time.

The cozy lounge was a great spot, but the towels were quite small.

The location was fantastic for exploring the nearby attractions, including local walks along beautiful landscapes. The meals were absolutely delightful, especially the local Shetland mussels and haddock. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The meals were fabulous and the staff made everything special. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a short drive to the yell ferry at toft. Kudos to the chef for the eye-opening dinner! The homemade cheesecake was a good treat that i'll remember. I felt welcomed throughout my four nights.

The Brae Hotel offers a warm environment with genuinely friendly staff, and the food is quite good, especially the breakfast. The room was clean but could use a couple more electrical outlets, and some service interactions felt a bit brusque. It's a solid choice.

Room size felt cramped!!! Improvements needed for bathroom storage like additional shelves or hooks!!! A proper maintenance check on beds is a must for comfort!!!

The hotel's intimate decor and charming, cozy atmosphere were good. It was also conveniently located on the ground floor, made navigating easier for seniors like me.

More grab rails in the bathroom would be helpful.

Fantastic stay with excellent dining experience.

A cute atmosphere greets visitors, especially thanks to the attentive staff like Scott and Curtis, who excel in service. The rooms were clean and presented comfortably, ideal. Dinner featured exciting local produce with a menu that changes daily, and breakfast included both hearty Scottish options and continental fare. One downside was the relatively small bed size, but that hardly detracted from the enjoyment of the stay.

100% recommend for a brief hiatus

Clean room, really good service, with free wi-fi available and a convenient location near Sumburgh Airport for easy access to the main island and ferry connections.

From the mouthwatering seafood dinners to the generous, scrumptious breakfasts, every bite reminded me of a triumph. The staff's warmth. And did I mention the fantastic bar for pre-dinner drinks? Great!
